Rules
"Line your cards up so each one feeds the next, then roll to see where the spark lands."
You have 4 fuse slots. Place cards and rearrange them for free — that is the whole decision. Then roll your two dice: the d4 says which slot the spark enters, the element die says what the spark carries.
The spark walks right. At each card: if the spark feeds it (or matches), the card fires fully and the spark becomes that card's element and moves on. If the card smothers the spark, it fires at half and the chain dies. If they are opposed, the card only makes Block, clogs its slot, and the chain dies.
Energy next turn = 1 + your last chain's length — every link the spark touched, burned or clogged (so 5 at most). Long chains pay for themselves. Rerolls cost 2.
Element Legend
FEEDS / SAME — card resolves fully, chain continues carrying that card's element.
SMOTHERED (arrow backwards) — card resolves at half (round down), chain stops.
OPPOSED (across the wheel) — card resolves as Block only (half its damage, round down; Block cards give full Block), stays in its slot, chain stops.
AGNI — Escalate: +50% of base to every card after it in the chain, cumulative.
JAL — Redirect: you choose, at resolution, a new target for everything after it. Aimed at yourself, damage becomes healing at half value.
PRITHVI — Hold: stays in its slot instead of burning. Its Block survives the enemy turn, but erodes by 2 each turn and caps at 12. After holding twice the link burns out and is discarded.
VAYU — Displace: drags the card on its right one slot further right into an empty slot, then follows it. If the slot on its right is already empty and the one beyond it is filled, it leaps that gap instead. It never reaches backwards, and never past slot 4.
AKASHA — Void: a null link. The spark passes through unchanged, the card fires fully, and the chain keeps its previous element. The splice for joining two elements that hate each other. (Shunya arrives when the enemy drops to half HP.)
